This is the only place left I've found that it's still free of charge from me.

The internet is beginning to frustrate me. The only two songs I'm selling ANYWHERE currently are my "Chiapaneca" and my "Frybread" as a CD single for 5bucks or less. I've seen it for sale for 9 dollars, and I've stumbled upon the single downloads for as high as 2 dollars.

I get 64 cents from iTunes and amazon, 70 from CDBaby, 99cents at Digstation.com, a whopping three cents from rhapsody and only a penny from napster. Spotify, who I had so many hopes and aspirations for gives me absolutely nothing two fiscal quarters in row which angers me greatly.

Also something you should know. Apple WAS giving me 70cents per download until Amazon came in at 64 cents as a win-win for EVERYONE BUT the artist. Why? Because Apple responded by going from 70 down to 64. (I would love to start a class law suit for half the difference at 3 cents and nail the both of them some day, but that's for another discussion ok?)

Listen, I'm not going to make any real money as an award winning independent songwriter and producer, but I'll be damned if I'm going to let someone else make real money off of your ability to get free music from me.

Remember when NARAS took Milli Vanilli's grammy away because they found out they couldn't sing well and were using studio musicians to lip sync over for their MTV videos?

Back then it was still a scandal if people found out you had lip sync'd even part of one song in a performance or recording!

My how times have changed. It's only a scandal now, if you lip sync poorly.

Oh well. Here's a song about that.

Loosely to the "toon" of Poison's "Every Rose Has Its Thorn."

Oh well, so I'm sorry I forgot to mention it. This performance you're hearing here was from us, a bunch of high schoolers. Majestic. Way back in the day. This is NOT how Sue sounds a week ago or a month ago or last night when she kicked out an awesome blend of covers and original tunes on guitar (with a special guest or two too!) at Riverwalk last night.

This was a very long time ago, but I still think it sounded amazingly great!

Alma, the bamboo guitar made by Jun Reputana. Brand new bridge pins installed. More sustain and more tone. This very old song, (My Favorite Things) wasn't as good as I wanted for showing off many different tones, but I tried to play it all over the place to make up for that. Enjoy.

Notes: Recorded with just a digicam facing the sound hole and then Audition was used to strip the .WAV off of the video, and very light reverb was added before saving to 128 x 44.1

Here's another recording of the same guitar.
This time is still iRiver style, but I brought it into a very nice
recording studio and used one of the booths to eliminate every
bit of noise I could.

Very sweet. I can't wait to get some time to do some real recording
of this thing. It really is the greatest sound I've ever heard out of
anyone's guitar.

The song I chose here is an original composition I made a very
long time ago to show off the lows of a guitar. Left hand style
is to literally use only one finger and slide a lot; which you'll
hear.

Right hand style is to just use thumb and middle finger. (P) and (M)
Low A string and Low E string are tuned traditional but used sort
of as drone notes, modulating back and forth between the two to
make it sound much more complex than it really is.

Recorded with an iRiver's built-in condenser mic.
(I cannot wait to record this guitar in a real studio!)
Mixed down with tools.
If I remember right I just added reverb and hard limiting and that's it.

Just guitar,
just one track,
and just instrumental.

I mainly put it up to show off how absotively posilutely
heavenly this guitar sounds. It's handmade completely of bamboo
by a guy in the Phillipines named Jun Reputana.

In other words, He created a polarity system. Both sides are to be respected. Both sides of anything are sacred. We need to do good and we need to learn from our mistakes. We need to honor what takes place in the daytime and we need to honor what takes place in the nighttime. WE learn that we need to learn and we see what we are supposed to see by staying close to the Great Spirit. We need to be talking to Him all the time, saying "Grandfather, what is it you want me to learn?"

Great Spirit, let me learn today that all things are sacred. Help me stay close to You, my Creator.
